While the current opiate overdose epidemic has hit our nation, it has become a horrifying reality in Summit County. Our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children and friends are being overtaken by the ravages of addition. Open any local newspaper and you’ll find that this crisis has affected every community.
IBH Addiction Recovery Center is the largest residential treatment facility in Summit County. We work diligently to provide the most effective care and continually look for evidence-based programs and practices to add to the arsenal against addiction. Recently IBH was selected by the Summit County ADM Board to be the provider of twenty new beds, making more treatment available for the ever-growing number of people suffering from drug or alcohol addiction.
In preparing for this expansion, IBH has incurred unfunded capital obligations to ready our facility. We also forecast a 30% growth in the IBH REACH Project, an after-care program for people who successfully complete treatment at IBH. While REACH boasts an 84% sobriety rate for those who actively participate, IBH receives no public or private source of funding for this successful project.
We ask you to join our fight against this opiate epidemic. Your tax-deductible donation will help IBH with these unfunded costs and ultimately help all who fight this life and death battle.
