The devastation of addiction has never been more visible than what we see in the news. Families share the sad news of loved ones’ deaths by overdose in obituaries, and all across Summit County drug-related overdoses and deaths continue to rise. In June 2017, the county medical examiner requested a mobile morgue for the spike in heroin overdose deaths and by July, an estimated 1,269 drug overdoses were treated in Summit County emergency rooms.
Helping someone reclaim his or her life from the ravages of addiction is the ultimate gift. And it’s the very gift you give by supporting IBH Addiction Recovery Center.
IBH works diligently to provide the most effective care and continually looks for evidence-based programs and practices to add to the arsenal against addiction. While Summit County ADM Board, Akron Municipal Court and private pay clients cover the vast majority of residential treatment expenses, little money is left for aftercare programs, building projects and the development of the next generation of services.
We ask you to join our fight against this opiate epidemic by making a monetary donation. Your generosity will continue to make a difference in the lives of many.
