Residential Services Director Richard Bechter oversees the daily operations of four residences, with approximately 40 staff and 80 clients. He also manages agency transportation, from the upkeep and repairs of vehicles to supervision of drivers.
During his nearly 40 years with IBH Addiction Recovery, Rick has held a variety of positions, including residential supervisor, men’s house manager, education coordinator, residential life coordinator, chairman of the IBH Safety Committee and safety officer. He also served as the organization’s first CPR and first aid instructor, as well as a certified nonviolent crisis intervention staff Instructor.
While in management most of his career, Rick has hands-on experience in counseling and group therapy and currently holds a CDCA certification. In his personal life, Rick is an accomplished martial artist and fervent bowler.
